Current research projects and grants
2006 Early Career Research Grant (University of Melbourne) for a project on the politics of translation in Renaissance Italy.2005 IT&Multimedia grant for a research project on interactive language learning tasks (MILTAL).
2005 IT&Multimedia grant for a research project on the use of audio-streaming in L2 teaching (CIMITALS).
2005-2006 two small publication subsidy grants for the publication of Matteo Maria Boiardo’s translation of the ‘Historia Imperiale’ (1471-73).
1998- Publication of Antonio Morosini’s ‘Codex’ (written circa 1430). The text is one of the most important documents relating to the history of Venice in the Middle Ages. To date three volumes have been published and three more will come out in the next 8-10 years. The text is published in its original form and with a translation into English.

2004 University of South Australia Research grant for a study on ‘New Paradigms Applied to Ancient Historical Texts: An Interdisciplinary Study of Translations in Renaissance Italy - Literature, Society and Politics’.2004 Teaching and learning grant at the University of South Australia for a research project on Italian Cinema and Identity. The project is entitled: ‘Italy Close-up: Cinematic Identities & Cultures’.
2002 Internal Research Grant from the Department of Classics, University of Western Australia, to undertake research in Venice and Padua for the II volume of Antonio Morosini’s ‘Codex’.
