Biography
BA (Hull); PhD (London).
Research field and areas of supervision
Medieval and Renaissance studies, with a particular
interest in Renaissance theories of behaviour, especially
Castiglione and Della Casa. Recently, his research
has concentrated on theories of gender in the early modern period. He
has a broad range of interests focussing on the culture of the northern
Italian courts in the 15th and 16th centuries. Dr Kolsky is also an active
researcher in the field of 20th century Italian literature, especially
drama and narrative.
